Bear Grylls Parody

Epic.
This guy deserves an oscar. If you have ever watched Bear Grylls (a glorified TV survivalist) you probably know all of his mannerisms by now. This video COMPLETELY exploits all of them. Great stuff.

Best Paddy’s week ever for Irish sport?

The two big talking points for last week for Irish people is undoubtedly the Irish rugby Grand Slam and Bernard Dunne’s WBA Super Bantamweight World Title victory, both last Saturday.

Ironically, last week was Paddy’s week too.

St. Patrick’s Day is a big day for us Irish, just look at the turn outs for the parade, the symbolism, the pride. Admittedly, the stereotypical drinking sessions in the pubs were far from as traditionally popular on Paddy’s night opposed to previous years.

That being said, pubs in general have been exceptionally quiet this year so far.

The Grand Slam.

Back on track. Saturday was a momentous day for all us Irish sport fans.

Firstly, we all knew the Grand Slam in the Six Nations was perfectly within reach. We all knew it was highly possible for us to attain. But we all had this niggling little voice in the back of our heads that outlined our fears and suspicions.

We all knew what Wales were capable of. Maybe, if Jones had scored that last penalty. Maybe, if Wales hadn’t squandered so many lineouts, the outcome might not have been the same. In the end, ultimately, Ireland deserved the match and The Grand Slam. In my unprofessional opinion, that is.

Whilst the match was prone to many errors and silly penalties, we all witnessed a great physical match with clever plays and equally clever players.

The World Champion.

Last Saturday night was a great night for Irish boxing with wins for Katie taylor, Andy Murray, the aptly named Jim Rock, Andy Lee and of course Bernard Dunne.

Bernard Dunne finally won his WBA Super Bantamweight World Title, despite Cordoba being favoured by betting offices, television pundits and a large amount of Dunne’s own fans. Dunne prevailed, though, in style.

Bernard showed far more power in his punches than ever before. He was composed, level-headed and wisely chose his battles. Round 5 was a round he’d want to forget after getting into a brawl with Cordoba, getting knocked down twice, and being on the ropes and on the proverbial backfoot. All in all, round 5 stunk of the Martinez fight.

Dunne pulled through in the following rounds and reinstated himself as the great Irish boxing hope.

Also, a big shout out has to go to all the fans who were there that night in the O2 Arena. What an amazing and unique atmosphere it must have been. I would have given anything, in hindsight, to have been there.

Here’s a video showing Dunne’s last three rounds V Cordoba.
This is A MUST WATCH.

I saw this game and said I had to post it. It’s a genuine classic and posting it is entirely justified.

I cannot wait for this movie to come out. For anyone who has not seen Ong Bak or The Warrior King, shame on you. Rent them out now. Tony Jaa is currently the hottest property in martial arts on the big screen at the moment.

The first clip is of his upcoming movie Ong Bak 2. The second clip is a clip I made as a dedication to Tony Jaa, featuring moves from Ong Bak and The Warrior King. You will become addicted.

Taken. Liam Neeson’s new movie out 12/09/08

WATCH THIS MOVIE NOW!

Taken is Liam Neeson’s new movie coming out in cinema on 12 September 2008.

Think of an aged Jason Bourne and you get Liam Neeson’s character in this movie. Except violent, far more violent. There is a real sense of realism to the fighting scenes here that you would not have expected from Liam Neeson. Anyway, make sure and go see this when it comes out. This film exceeded all my expectations when I watched it. Definitely my favourite movie of the year so far.

Pure class.
